Cool! :) Let's hear about your car. Mods, dyno charts, pics, etc. :) We don't get to hear much about REAL GTi-Rs here since most are from the US on this forum.

It's quite fast but I haven't done any 1/4miles this year with increased power.Last year I got 13.6@99mph with standard boost and 0-60 in 5.5.Probably low 13s-high 12s and 4.5 0-60 now.Should be doing some at the end of the month if my gearbox is till alive as I think I broke something last night having a bit of fun with a mate on his CBR600 bike(I left him in my dusty on the windy country roads where I live;)).Thanks for all welcomes.

Those times are on road tyres btw, reading through some other posts and it seems you can run the quarter on slicks in USA.Over here with a road car ie not specificly a racer, you have to run road legal tyres.I'm buying some spare wheels so that I can fit some road legal semi-slicks which should bring my times down a bit.

Welcome Skiddusmarkus! Now for the truth. This place is really hit and miss. If you ask a question sometimes you'll be flooded with responses, some useful, many not. Sometimes you won't get any. Honestly, there are about a handful of helpful people here and you'll know who they are and who they aren't. You've got the guys that have nothing to offer except nitpicking about a post being located in the right area and about not posting street racing stories. Then you've got the guys that also have nothing to offer but cynical comments and guys that'll tell you ten different ways to blow your money on mods but they can't tell you which way would be the best for your money or why. This isn't something that plagues this forum in particular, I've encountered this at several auto forums. But I hope you have better experiences than I have. I've been here for about 5 months I guess and I've learned a lot in a short amount of time but it has been due to my persistence and from those few helpful and knowledgable people.

You know it's kinda sad, the two times I was lucky enough to make it to London and Western Europe, I never saw a single GTi-R. Did see a number of 100NXs and one R32 GT-R but I guess I'll have to wait til my next trip to the other side of the globe.

Welcome aboard SkiddusMarkus! I've been lurking on the boards for a while and only recently started posting.

There are quite a few gtir owners in London, but obviously it's a big place. If anyone ever comes to the UK,check on www.santapod.com for any 1/4 mile meets as there are always some there and other Japanese exotica as well as a lot of Ford Cosworths. It's only an hour from London.

Cool. I'll have to check that place out on my next visit to London. But that may mean I may have to rent a car and drive on the wrong side of the road!

Wonder if you can still rent a WRX or EVO there?

We drive on the right side of the road, that being the left;)I know of a place that used to hire out fast cars but they stopped doing it when someone smashed the WRX up.
