celica hit 7.0@199mph Its gonna be a nice weekend if anyone wants

any ideas as to what time the races run from? also, what does it cost to 'spectate'. i'm thinking about dropping by tomorrow.

For Sat gates open 1pm elimations start at 7pm and for Sunday
gates open at 8am. Its gonna be packed. Sat is 15$ specatater
and $20 sunday.. Sunday being the bigger day. You can purchase
a 2 day pass for $30 to watch.. IMHO its not worth racing these
huge events.. Too many cars but worth to come chill and watch
all the awesome cars.. Usually i would be helping out with James's
car but it wont be racing this event..

Damn, I was hoping to see Jame's SE-R run, when is it going to be ready? I am split between either going to e-town to watch or going to auto-x somewhere else.

Well although my car is not as pretty as Daryls car I am parking it in the show. Might as well. To get a feel of what else I need to do. It is very clean and the motor is spotless. Are we going to have a Nissan row or what?

I can't enter in show, my car definately needs a lot of small little cosmetic things worked on. What time do you think you will be passing through Staten Island? It would be cool to drive down with you guys.

Just got back today and saw some great races but no 200mph run yet. He was hopping outtah the hole and shifted to early but still got a 7.3@198.?? He then went sideways and let up on the second run but it still wasnt as fast as the HKS Det running a 7.18@190. To many good races to list and I have to say the ecotec motor is nice especially with John ligenfelter pushing it to a 7.5 in his chevy pickup, 9.1 in the cavalier and a 10.6 in the Sunfire that weighs in at 2600lbs.

That pickup had an ecotec 4 banger in it? wholly shit.. The HKS 180sx ran a 7.1 but its not a 4 banger its a RB26DETT INSANE POWER guys look for me tommm or call my cell phone ill be there with jamie 732-804-9975

Well I can offically say that from all my years of going drag racing (since 1994), this event was by far had the best racing!

The 180sx was better than I ever imagine it could be. It ran 7.1's the whole damn day! JoJo Callos was out with his Integra (unibody), running 8.8's - 9.0 on every pass. Even the Venom Civic got into the 8's. On the allmotor side Tony Shagday with the Sunkworks2 Teg, ran mid 10's all day too! There are alot of fast cars in this class. I swear some of these all motor cars are spraying.

The V8 Celica gave a good performance also and ran the 202mph to win the 25,000. I like Ian thing that it was alittle unfair that they won the money, plainly because it's a big block V8 (and v8's have been running in the 200+ for years now). I would have loved to see the 180sx or the Summit truck pull it off. I heard that Papadikis went into the 7's with his Civic but I didn't get to see (damn snack lines!).

I had a good time and can't wait till Atco!

I forgot to add that on the way home I caught a white WRX with a big front IC, what looks to be a 3" Greddy exhaust, STi wing and some bronze 17's going at it with a red 2JZ supra which I happen to know have some works!

The WRX had him till about 120mph the the supra was out. I'll try and get the video online! It looks like something right off of Tokyo Extream Racers

Next time I'm going to E town. Screw final exams.;)

Couple quick things.. The V8 Celica is not a big block. Its a 4.7DOHC TOYOTA V8
and papidakis didnt hit 7's.. But those ecotecs were being pushed
hard and even with cars built by GM they still lost to private teams like
the AEM Civic of papidakis and the likes...

There was some fast fast cars this weekend.
