I'm in the market for a new cat back. The factory part #s for the 93 SE-R vs 93 NX2000 are the same cat back. These are my choices. HKS Sport, chambered muffler, 55mm (just under 2 1/4")
"B" pipe which goes to 60mm, aluminized pipes. Greddy, stainless, 2" straight through. Courtesy Nissan/Top Speed, straight through, about 2 1/2", stainless, but muffler ends at around 2"!?!? I can't deal with that BRAAAAAPPPPP noise so this is a big factor. All opinions welcome and help wanted (not mental help). :D
If any of the exhaust information is off, please correct me.

Working on a a cat-back system from:
http://www.stromung.com
Can't recommend them yet because I don't know how it will work out,but the guy was very patient with me. I think I called him 5 times in about an hour :o . Their stuff gets good reviews from the se-r bunch, but I don't know yet if the muffler will fit the NX2000. I have to go down there and get a test fitting.

Just remember that production cat-back exhausts for the Sentra SE-R (HKS, GReddy, etc.) *will not* fit the NX2000 without some modification. The muffler section on the NX is shorter than the Sentra. Otherwise, the mid-pipes are the same.
I would probably not worry too much about the mid-pipe and just concentrate on getting a rear muffler (the stock mid-pipe doesn't become restrictive until you go turbo or nitrous). For that, I recommend getting a universal Borla muffler or a Dynomax Ultraflo muffler. Both are straight-through, perforated-core mufflers that aren't very loud, especially when paired with a resonated exhaust tip.
If you really want to upgrade the mid-pipe as well, then I would go with the Courtesy mid-pipe with the above mentioned mufflers. I'm sure others can chime in on other exhaust recommendations. Hope that helps.

On the end pipe... Is it the pipe that is too long or the actual "muffler" body of a Classic system??? If it's the rear pipe, it should be easy to cut and weld???
I like the torque graph in Sport Compact for the HKS system on the Classic and it was quiet as well. That's what I was looking at, but if that is a bugger then I guess I will have to go with the Courtesy "B" and custom pipe to a Dynomax muffler. Thanks again.

Thanks. I looked at this before, but was not 100% sure what this ment...
"I believe the HKS and Greddy catbacks only are for the classic. The bpipe is the same but the axle back is a little bit different you would have to get a shop to "cut the the rear section" because it'll be too long".
It looks as though this means the pipe its self. That would be easy for the local shop to redue. Thanks again for the help. :)
