I'm thinking about swapping out my auto NX to a 5spd NX. Anybody know exactly what parts I will need?

After looking in the shop manual, there are a few things to consider. Does the Automatic chassis have the holes for mounting the clutch peddle (it should)? Does the fire wall have the proper hole for the clutch cable to pass through (it should)? Then there is the midway retaining bracket for the cable. I don't think the Auto has the mount for the front dog bone engine mount. Would the Neutral and reverse switch connector hookups be the same? Then, would the computer have problems starting the car with the Inhibitor switch disconnected? I think the Throttle position switch is different too. Then there is the center console... Hmmmmm... looks possible, but a lot of work. Maybe it's time to think about someone like Level 10? I had an automatic trany (not on a Nissan) worked over before and it worked out great. :rolleyes:

It doesn't sound like it's really worth all the trouble. I guess I'm gonna have to buy another automobile...bummer...I liked the NX's power too...

Oh well, off to a forced air induction automobile! Up-up-and away!!!
