Hey guys, I am fixing a buddies car and I wanted a second opinion.
The car is a 1997 acura 2.2cl and it has a p0141 2nd o2 sensor code. My main concern is that the car wont even start! You guys think the catylitic is melted? I though the car will still going to run without o2 sensors working.

it should still run if the o2 isnt working.....something else is wrong.

The code for p0141 is for a heater failure on the rear O2...This has nothing to do with a starting problem....Is it cranking????

In my experience (DCX vehicles, but it's all the same), P0141 codes tend to go back either to faulty sensors or wiring problems in the sensor circuit, or things like misinstalled or swapped sensors. Are there no other stored codes in the PCM?

The only code on the Autozone rental tool OBD2 scanner was p0141. I am going to check if its the catylitic converter is clogged.

yeup, its cranking. So your saying the rear o2 is not getting enough heat?
