this was done at a small private road at my uncles farm. before when i was running 7 psi on my t25 setup, i dropped the clutch and launched at 3200 rpm and it was a slow start but redlined almost instantly, then shifted, second gear gripped and went, then third ran and so on to fourth. basically i had a very, very slow launch, but second, third, and fourth was nice... anyways, i upped the boost to 10-11 psi after i got my walbro and adjustable fpr. i tried again and tried to halfway throttle the launch at 3500 rpm, but it started to bog a little, so i smashed the throttle in first gear. it went to redline instantly almost. shifted to second, no traction at all and went almost instantly to redline, then third and fourth went by quick. car felt faster in third and fourth comparing the 7psi to the 10psi. but no traction at all, so it is no use. i just want some input from you fast guys with good launching tips with street tires. i am rolling on 14" civic hx rims wiht 195/60/14 falken ziex 512 tires. i know slicks will help a lot, but im just interested in the street tires for now. if not, im just gonna go back to 7psi. thanks.

Well, I am in no way experienced with this. But I have had a ride in a T25 DET. On stock tires it was no use. Good luck is what I would tell you. The t25 was running 10psi. Once they got some better rubber. Only spinning in first, and a tiny squeel in second. Before that it was spinning them in 4th gear and even 5th on a bad day. Thats 247whp...gl. Hope you enjoy it, all be there someday!

This is obvious. Your wheels are too light and you are making power too soon! Gotta love that T25 spool. Go with some B14's on 205's. Don't drop the clutch anymore now you have to learn how to slip the clutch. Slipping the clutch easily at 3500rpms has work with me very well by getting 2.2 60ft on street tires.

if you want tracton, get some 15s or even 16s, bigger diameter rims spin slower, also, run a 225 summer tire w/ traction bars and decent suspension and youll have good tractoin.

I recomend falken azenis they worked great on the street and the strip. 205 50r 15 But bigger would be better in this case as stated

I also suggest going with a 16x7 or 16x7.5 with azenis, or Eagle F1's for streetable use. I would throw some super sticky track shoes on those HX rims, and use em when you go to the track.

I agree with everyone else. That has got to be your problem right there.

Upgrade the hell out of your wheel and tire combo.

You could then try upgraded motor mounts, Progress LCA or the Whiteline 4pt brace, or give a shot to the Hass traction bars.

Those last three options are covered here:

slip the clutch alil

Get some nice street tires

Add a LSD

Other wise just throw on a nice drag radial or slick and call it a day

LSD if you dont have it, as everyone said the 14" rims are killing you... i ran on 15" drag radials when I had a turbo b14... otherwise just turn down the boost in the first two gears then up it later

you need better tires. but u already know this. even on azeni's 1st 2nd and mid third still spun.

drag radials for the street/strip.

slicks for the strip.

keep practicing though ull eventually get the hang of it. you cant just mash the gas.

say 5-5500 rpm slowly let out the clutch till u feel the car hook up then ease into the throttle.

Throw some drag radials on it and be done with it, lol. With street tires you are going to be hard pressed to find a tire in that size to hold anything your making at 10 psi. I know my street tires, 185/60/14, lol, suck at stock boost.

well i agree that you need tracktion bars i got them that will help, but every one is missing something what tire pressure was he running, your tires are just fine drag radials would be better than the road racing tires that you are running now, put the azenis at 15 psi and you will see that the tires will stick, and you will have to launch higher just so the rpm's wont die and then pick up again trust me on this one that was me 4 years ago, oh another thing don't heat up azenis( burn out ) just clean them off real quick trust me they suck when they get too hot, like i said they're road racing tires they warm up gradually ( spelling ) good luck bro :biggthump

i was making a joke

realistically it would take a pretty heafty de and non-lsd to spin the tire in third from a roll, lol

Nah.... my t25 with S3 cams, and Potenza S03 tires would spin 3rd from a roll.... when it was ~40F out :) Well, I was running -1.9 deg. of camber and had the tire pressures up to ~35psi. I need all the traction in the corners I can get!

when i had a t25 i didnt have any traction issues. on your rear suspension get some factory ingegra foam bump stops, solid motor mounts, decent suspension. i had crappy good year tires at 16 psi and at 14lbs of boost i was cutting consistent 2.0 60ft launching at 3400 rpm. remember crappy tires handle shitty but they are usually made of softer rubber so they get better traction.
