I participated this past weekend at the THSCC TT and HPDE. I ran a 1:09.6 on Falken Azenis in the Saturday TT. This was good enough for third in SPO behind a FF Cobra and a Grand Am BMW 330. Still waiting for Sunday results but I don't expect much since there was oil dry on the track and the sun was causing me to miss my brake point going into the fishhook. I had to replace my alternator on Sunday when it started making a grinding noise and later started smoking. Luckily the local Advance had one in stock. Maddmatt was there with his mansion on wheels and he had a nice run in his SE-R.

It was my first weekend instructing and my student was driving an 88 911. Man those cars are awesome. Amazing grip and handling.

Maddmatt was there with his mansion on wheels borrowed from the in-laws

Fixed that for you.

Good to see you again Tim. Really, really sorry about spinning your car in 7....

It appears I ended up 1st in DSP. Mitch had removed about ~150 lbs of interior parts the week before the event and didn't change his registration. He didn't expect to beat me, but after he followed me for a few laps in the last session, he cut more than a second off his best time and just beat me. He had Mark change him to ITS, leaving me with 2 DSP wins for the weekend and possibly the season championship.

Good job! Any idea where I finished on Sunday? Don't worry about the spin. No harm done. I should have mentioned the car was loose under braking.

No, unfortunately the cold weather caused a massive amount of condensation in the fuel lines and the RV wouldn't start. Ron helped us purge the fuel lines and I missed the awards. Results should be up fairly soon I think. I know O'dell did not run, so you at least had 2nd :)

I was surpised by the combination of loose under braking, but really not so loose on accelleration. The Nismo diff seems better than OE, but I like mine better :D

Come to VIR in Feb and I'll return the favor of a drive in my car.

I had no idea this even was even taking place, although with a new baby I'm not sure I could have even made it.

Sounds like you guys had fun, and maybe we can meet up in February at VIR now that my car finally runs.

It's really hard to compare the LSD in two cars that have completely different suspension setups and tires. I haven't played with the front shocks much since I put them on either. I know the Nismo feels 100% better than the one I took out. I need to play with the spring rates and damping on the fronts.
