I have been reading and learning from all the past threads from the turbo forum. I came accross one Idea that is not very clear to me. Someone mentioned that the nos chip in the ecu is the same one that is used to do water injection. Can someone out there please confirm this for me. I have a 100shot JWT ecu and planning to sell it. I don't want to sell this ECU if this will be something I will use for water injection. I have also read that it is extra 500 bucks just for water injection chip plus 100 bucks for the turbo upgrade on the ECU. That's money out of my pocket.
Thanks in advance.

I think they do use the nitrous module for water injection, but it may still have to be reprogrammed. But just call JWT and find out for sure.

If you've already got the Nitrous daughterboard, you should be all set and don't need to spend the $500. You should only need a $100 reprogram. The nitrous daughterboard has a lot of functionality besides switching Nos, but that is what is most commonly used for. It can switch Nos, run water injection, do cockpit switchable ECU maps, and i think its also used with the drag launch setup. All that stuff costs more $$ of course, but the daughterboard is used in all those things.
