I was wondering for those of you that have put a turbo on your DE engines (specifically low ports) what exactly did you do to eliminate the EGR system? TIA

are you eliminating because you have gone turbo? and the bb mani doesnt have the egr tap...

to eliminate the egr

1st locate the egr probe, there is a connector on it right behind the egr bs...cut the 2 wires, then go to radio shack and get a 100kohm resister and solder inline the resister

2nd remove both selinoids, there are 2 12mm bolts holding it on the intake mani,
once this is done you can make a "cap plate" .25" aluminium stock
or what ever is your choice
reusing bolts make sure there is a good seal on it when done, rtv or reuse seal from old egr set up
you may have to rework some vacum lines but no biggy

3rd reset ecu

code should be clear or you could opt for the last option send ecu to jwt and tell them to eliminate egr...probably another 100 bucks
the directions above probably cost 2 bucks and some fabrication, i could go into great detail on the directions but its a simple operation so very simple directions
