hey gang,
my dad and i just finished doing a compression test on the ol' NX2000. we followed all the correct procedures and we came up with results at or around 170psi across all cylinders. cylinder #2 looked like it was around 165 or so. are these numbers good? I have heard they should be at/around 178psi. is this correct? this was on an engine w/ 188k miles. I am pretty surpised to say the least. I am not sure if a new engine is needed now..I think i will just spend some money on tune-up stuff. I've had the same spark plug wires since august of last year, and they were bought used for $10 from JGY. :D everything else has pretty much been replaced...plugs/cap/rotor/fuel filter/pcv valve...
just wanted to share my results, and see what others had come up with on their cars.
