Ziex ZE-502 M+S -
I havent heard anything about these tires...also, I did a search and couldn't find any valuable info.
I saw them at Discount tire direct and I am cash limited and only want two tires. I need something that will last through my long drives but can also be used to auto-x for now. I am not expecting a lot out of them since I am running shitto 450's now. I was thinking about the azenies but I want something more for road use than track or auto-xing use. ANd i am not to thrilled about the tread wear. My limit is between 70-95 dollars a tire. And I would prefer to get aat least a 280 treadwear. NO TO KHUMOS....had them and and IMO I like the shittos more.

I work at a tire place... one word describes those tires: JUNK. Stay away from them if you can.

That pisses me off because they are brand new tires from Falken. Man, they need to make a cheap good tire. I may just get the RE730's to be safe. Maybe you can answer this question...I am running 16x7 rims and my classic se-r. I also like the SH30's by firestone...even though they are H rated...however they are 205-55-16 and I dont know if they will rub or give me problems....would they fit? I am running 205-40-16's right now. I would def. like to get some more sidewall for the bumps up here.

RE730 Bridgestones are badass. I know numerous people running them. They last long, and they're somewhat sticky when you need them too be. Overall a good tire at a good price!

I just got the Falken Azenis Sport 205/50/15.

Those tires is sticky as hell, no more spinning problem

Yup, the azenis is a good tire. Too bad it has horrible life. And also, its not the greatest tire in the rain either!

Man, they need to make a cheap good tire.

They do. Falken Azenis, 195/60/14 and 205/50/15. Both are cheap and almost as grippy as some of the lesser R-compound tires (Toyo Proxes RA-1 for example)

Does anyone know about Kumho's new tire? The Ecsta MX?

Probably too new for anyone to use them yet.

Working at a tire store has thought me a few things about tires. I'll tell you one thing about Kumhos. They're cheap for a reason. Cheaper material = cheaper tire. The reason you pay more for something like a michelin is because you're getting the best damn tire on the road.

Now, I'm not saying go spend god awful amounts on a michelin, but at least talk to someone that knows their tires. Kumho tires are a cheap fix just like Nitto when they first came out. Nitto is getting to be alot better of a company, and so are their tires.

If you want a good, cheap tire, you might just go w/ the Azenis, or the RE-730. They're both proving to be good tires. The only problem (as mentioned before) is that the Azenis has horrible life.

I know and have seen the results of the azenies. THis ford probe had them at the auto-x I was at and it killed everything in its class. THe car had almost no wheel spin the entire course where as mine...well, than go for the LSD because my Shittos lost about 1/32 of their tread on every run. I do not like the Khumo tires...I only used the 712's once on my maxima and I wasted them in one summer. I am thinking that I might have to buy a front set of 15' slipstreams and throw the azenies on them for autocrossing purposes..then run some cheap H rateds on my 16's I drive everyday. I need rain traction and I need a tire that will withstand my daily driving. Or I could just settle on the 730's for both purposes...how do they wear? My friend , who is rev happy destoryed his 730's in one summer so I am pessamistic about the tires...but then again...he is a horrible driver. I dont know anything about those new khumos.

The 730s are good tires if you want to just have some decent tires. And they're not too expensive!

I had the Falken ze-502's and they sucked, didnt last too long...then I I got the kumho 712's and they're not lasting too long either...but are pretty good tires nonetheless. My kumhos are balding so I'll probably go get some parada's, yoko a520's, or the azenis....whichever I decide upon. What do you think I should get, Ben? I'm probably gonna need to get 2 pairs of rubber within 2 months...maybe less.

520s are loud but they're good. (the design is getting old too IMO)

Azenis wears too fast, but its a badass tire while it lasts.

Paradas were junk the second they hit the market. Never met ANYONE that liked them.

I have Dunlop SP5000s on my car and I love them. They had 10,000 miles on them when I started to pull the motor and the tread looked brand new. But then again, I paid about 120 a piece for them (tax included).

My buddy has RE730s and his doesn't stick as good as mine, but he likes them because they last long.

If you want a long lasting tire thats not "too" expensive get the SP5000s or the 730s. I'm a believer in both.

If money isn't the object, get the Dunlop SP9000s. They're sticky, good and cost close to 200 a pop. Well worth the money depending on the size you get.

Maybe try the pirelli p 700z. Tire rack has them for $44-$46 a piece. For the price they can't be beat. They have a 140 treadwear, OK in the rain, and great once their warmed up. That price is for 195/50/15.

There is a reason that the 700s are so cheap. They're ok tires, but still cheaply made and wear out too quickly. The 7000s aren't too much better!

hey Buckwilly

to answer your question "no-the 205-55-16 will not fit."i tried using that size on my 16x7 and they did not clear the bottom of the "strut housing"- so now im on 205 40 16 shittos looking to come up on something better.

Are the new Parada spec-2s any good. They are the tires I am considering purchasing sometime soon. I would like the Azenis but I need something that can handle the rain of Seattle, and repeated 300 mile trips to visit the family.

I've been runnin 17" Parada's on my Civic for like 8 months now (about 10K miles) and have had NO problems with them, they still have a good 5-8K miles left if not more... and my Civic has serious camber issues. My only issue with them is that they can't be rotated. I can move them to the back, but the inside is the inside, which sucks!! Before that I ran Toyo FZ4's for about 15 months and had no issues until I put the rims on the Civic. I'm never one to test the limits of my tires, but they both work well.

I agre 100%. Funny story: My brother used to work for Michelin. One year they decide to clear out all their old stock. 4 tires, $100. I get 4 Michelin MXX3s in size 225/50/16 for my Eclipse. $100. For all 4. These are normally $250 each.

Absolutely the best damn tire I've EVER driven. It rivals R-compound tires for grip. In fact, I think the steering response is *quicker* than when I had the BFG R1s. And these are the old tires. The Pilots are even better.

If you can scrape up enough cash, get yourself some Pilots. O. M. G! Just wish they made more 14" and 15" tires.....

I was pleased with a couple sets of Kumho 712s for the money they did pretty good job.

I HATED the pirelli p700Zs like the guy above said, theyre cheap for a reason.. got no traction whatsoever outta those things and they wore down real quick.

I have a set of Falken zeix 502's on my 17s right now. They wear down kinda quick and r kinda mushy at first. but once they wear down they start 2 grip real well and handle better.

I tried a set of nitto 450s and hated them.. very cheap tire that squeels around turns, and wears out fast.

Im not a fan of Dunlops either.. i used to run the Sp 4000s which were replaced by the 5000s and they are expensive and wear out wayy 2 fast.

Ive been real pleased with the bridgestone re730s.. good grip and last a long time.
