My cel came on my 95 b14 a few days ago. It threw 34 and 41. Since knock sensor codes wont make the cel come on its safe to assume i need to only replace my intake temp sensor?

???

Knock sensor can come on by itself. It did on mine and the knock sensor WAS my problem, however, I have heard that the knock sensor code can be thrown in tandem with other problems, so yes I'd suggest replacing the intake temp sensor first and reset the CPU. Check if the knock sensor code is still there afterwards.

A broken knock sensor retards your timing and slows your car down. That might be reason to replace it as well.

Alright. I did notice that its been a little slugish even before the cel came on. Ill replace the intake temp sensor then reset the ecu. If it still seems slugish ill go ahead and to the knock sensor.

Thanks for the info guys!

A broken knock sensor will also screw the emissions system. However, a bad temp sensor will cause the computer to change timing, causing pinging, causing the knock sensor code. That's how it was explained to me, anyway.
