Ok heres what ive got from nissan so far...
4 PFR6B-11 Platinum Plugs
Spark Plug Wire Set
Distributor Rotor Head
Distributor Cap
Drive Belt-Compr/Fan/Alt.
Drive Belt-Pwr Str.

Im also got do an oil change, and tranny fluid with Redline MT-90

I think im gona clean the injectors too and do a throttle body cleaning. About the injectors ive heard that useing that STP additive in our gas tanks is a bad thing, is this correct, if so what should i do to clean them. And what should i use to clean the throttle body.

Oh ya im gona check my timing too(maby up it to 17deg.) about the 17deg thing do i need 91 octane then?

Any other things i should be checking?

You also need to replace the exhaust manifold with a hotshot unit and grab a place racing cai, fuel filter, use carb cleaner for TB, and get greddy exhaust because stock exhaust rusts out after 60k. For the injectors just go down to your local chevron put some good gas in with the techron crap you be aight

So what about the injectors? Oh ya and one more thing, im scared about my timing chain. My GF's timing chain just blew apart in here 82 Benz and im afraid mine will do the same if i dont change it soon. Im just being paranoid but when should we change the chain in our beloved sr20de's?

Sorry didn't see what you said about the injectors... So no STP injector cleaner?

NO don't use any injector cleaner!! the pintle-less injectors are already good enough that they don't need extra crap fouling 'em up. if you really wanted to you could have RC engineering clean 'em for about $25 per injector. but that's not really necessary seeing that you're basically stock. timing chains should be replaced @ 100K. our chains very rarely ever fail us. also check if your PCV needs to be replaced.

about the injectors. It is ok to go to Chevron and pour a bottle of their Techron in the tank. Do this one more time about 3-5 tanks later. This will clean your injectors and Techron is safe for gallery fed injectors. It is a bit mild and the solvents are not as harsh. I have been researching this question for some time and have done this myself with great results. I have asked several Nissan techs, parts personnel and others. Strong solvent cleaners can damage this style of injector. "And so, the debate begins" :) If you don't want to use the cleaner, then I agree, RC is a good place to send them.

I have heard of the SR20DE timing chains lasting many miles past 100,000. It's the timing chain tensioner you will HAVE TO REPLACE at 100,000. It can't hurt to replace the chain and guides if you wish at 100,000. Oh yes, don't forget that fuel filter that "silverser99" mentioned.

I just did the fuel filter at 40K, how often does that thing need to be done? Also what about the rear 02? Do i have to do anyhting with that. And how do i tell if the PVC needs to be done? Thanks for all the help guys!

On ya another thing... Do i need to put new break fluid in? If so what kind? And do i need to do anything with the coolent system etc.?

I didnt say go buy a bottle of techron and throw it in the tank I said buy some good gas. Chevron already has the techron additive in its gasoline (even the 87 grade) so theres your cleaner. When I hit 60k here pretty soon with my 99' SE-L Im gonna flush out the coolant add some Redline watter wetter and install those silicone radiator hoses.

The chains are supposed to be good for 200k. For your injectors just run high octane. It has a fuel additive in it for cleaning.

eah god, i just decided to take a close look at my front motor mount after ordering the ES inserts today... well i think its torn to hell. There are two parts of the dog bone, should the motor mount beable to go all the way to the top of the second circle on the dogbone? When i rev the engine it flies back in the engine bay. If its just the mount thats broken and not the dogbone will the ES inserts fix it? Or do i need to order a new mount from nissan. And how do i tell if the dogbone is busted up?

timing chains are good for well over 300,000 miles.

Plus they make a hell of a lot of noise and clatter before they decide to go ;)

i just got a 92 SE-R and I have started to notice that my timing chain is making alot of noise and clatter. I have 128,000 on the clock. Should I repair just the tensioner, or replace the whole thing. About how much money am I talking to replace it. Is this a Nissan Stealership only thing or is it easy enuff that I can do?
