Hi,
I am fairly new to the SR20 world, having spent most of my time recently in the 4A Toyota camp. I am very interested in the SR20DE because it features something I have sorely missed in Toyota motors over the years -- torque. That, and a more active aftermarket.
Sadly, there are virtually no usable B13 bodies to be had where I live and a million AE92 Toyota shells. See where this is going yet?
Has anyone seen anything about SR20 swaps into an AE92 (probably 4dr)? I've run across a few SR20/AE86 swaps, but haven't seen anything where the SR has to fit into a transverse spot, as with the AE92. I'm into the "all-motor" thing, so turbo clearance and stuff isn't an issue -- I'm just trying to get an idea of how stupid this conversion would be.
Any ideas? Thanks.
