: will the ES firewall mount solve my groaning?

For the last month or so, the passenger side motor mount(i think it is officially referred to as the "front" mount) has been groaning loudly as it is loaded and unloaded, and under suspension compression and what not. I have read that replacing the mount cures this problem, but the mount was replaced by the previous owner in 1999, and I am really the only hard driver the car has ever had, and it seems like it would last longer than that? but my question is this; I bought the ES torque position inserts, and threw the dogbone mount in a month or two ago, and noticed a lil difference in movement and wheelhop, but there is still tons of room for improvement. I have not attempted to put the firewall mount in yet as i have read all these horror stories about how much of a PITA it is and everything, so i was gonna pay a mechanic $20 to put it in, what do you think? will that firewall mount cure the passenger side mount of groaning, or will it need to be replaced no matter what? what does nissan charge for one of those babies, anyway?

Thanks

Hey Parker what kind of noise is it makin? Mebe some silicone lube on it. It works wonders on my suspension once a month:D

nah James, tried the silicon, I DOUCHED the entire mount, all down in the hole, all around, and still makes noise.... its like a loud groaning/binding when under load

I just put that rear mount in today. What a PITA. but it made a huge improvement because the oem mount was slightly torn. The side mounts are not that expensive.
