I'm new to doing my own car fixes (dammit I wish I took mechanics in high school), but I'm trying stuff now.
So far I've switched the fuel pump from my parts car to my driver... took me 4 hours cause dumb ass me didn't figure out till 3 and a half hours in that the full plastic casing came out not just the top half. LOL I'll know for next time.
Yesterday I decided to tackle the stalling prob. So I reground the MAF sensor. Two hours later that was done, completely wrecked the MAF clip on my parts car, before I just did it with my other one. I used 12g stranded wire, asked for 10g but home depot didn't have it. Again it will be much easier if I ever have to redo it.
Well I was at it I decided to switch the AAC valve cause I found it while I was looking for a grouding point for the MAF. Looked easy, two screws. Top screw 2 min max. Bottom screw 2 hours. Next time though 15 min. So as I'm putting two electrical clips back on that I disconected for the job, I find that some how I ended up with 3 loose electrical clips! WTF I was pretty careful not to bang up anything but I guess I wasn't careful enough. I could not see the point where it clipped to so I felt around with my eyes closed till I found it. Turned out that it came from just below the AAC valve. 1 more hour! LOL at myself.
