Ok guys. I have a new Sentra SE B14 and it handles nicely. I would like some advice though for suspension. The car has stock springs and KYB GR2. The sway bar/bars are stock aswell. There are also two aftermarket strut tower bars front and back. The car does not lean when switching lanes quickly nor when taking turns on the interstate at high speed. Now I have a set of Eibache Pro Kit springs that drop the car 1.4 inches laying around. I also have a set of Tockico Blues laying around. As for after market sway bars I have Progress. Last but not least a Stillen G load Brace.

The question. I love the confort of the stock springs and the KYB GR2s. But I am a serious autocrosser. I don't want to lean much in the corners. If I put on the G Load Brace and the Progress Sway Bars along with the current strut tower bars can I expect little lean or are the stock springs and KYB GR2s just too soft?

The Eibches will be stiffer but they also lower the car and with as little suspension travel as we already have I am not sure I want to do that.

Another question is, Do you guys think the Tokico Blues are better the then KYB GR2s?

I have intentions of Tein fully adjustable suspension later but for now I need to deal with what I have.

Any advice would be of help. Thanks a lot guys.

Do a search man...there is a huge thread on B14 suspension by ShawnB I believe.

I would tell you to stick with what you have under there now,and wait to get your Tein coilovers before changing out the suspension.

Why Tein? Go Ksport... much better for the money.. Unless your a bottomless pit.

K sport huh. I will have to look into that. Thanks for that susgestion. No one has any thougts though on what i have huh? Hmmm I guess I am going with my gut on what I think will be best then. If it does not work out I will have to redo it.

The Progress sways will help, but ultimately your springs are just too soft to control the car in that manner.

The Blues are not much better than the GR2's, as both are underdamped for very much stiffer springs.

This is the Suspension Thread:

AGX's will work with your stock OEM springs just fine. Mated with some Progress sway bars, and you would have a much improved daily driver over the stock suspension.
I just want the AGX's i dont care about lowering.... for now I just want to get rid of my current setup.
Stock springs, Progress front and rear sway bars would be a nice setup
There you go, Steve already answered your question in the thread.

According to Steve, stock springs, stock length working struts, Progress f/r sway bars, "would be a nice set-up."

1) You should have a much improved DD that has stock suspension travel, and very little lean in the corners.

2) The Eibachs are ONLY workable with CSK's (custom shortened Koni's). Otherwise they sacrifice too much suspension travel, you will ride on your bumpstops. Covered in the Suspension thread.

3) Tokico Blues and GR2's are merely OEM replacements, no upgrade with either strut. Pretty much equal in performance, covered in the Suspension thread.

BTW, the K-sports (three varieties nowadays, see the Suspension thread) are a good alternative, very affordable. The Teins are excellent for a B14, still reasonably affordable. You get what you pay for. Covered in the Suspension thread.

Hope this helps.

You guys Kick ass. I looked into that thread last night. That is an amazing write up. Props to all who made that come together. So I think the jest of all this is for now keep the stock springs on and GR2s because they are said to be equivalent to the Tokico Blues. Though my blues do have less miles on them. Add the sway bars along with the G load brace and Strut tower bars and I should be good to go till later when I go with Coil Overs. Thanks sounds good.

Thanks, that would be me, Thee Librarian.

However, I have recieved some excellent and much appreciated help in the form of photos, articles, threads, posts, and information brought to my attention. Plus, while I assembled the knowledge, I can't really contribute to it. I am mechanically clueless. :D

I encourage folks to participate, anything I am missing or is pertinent is always welcome.

And you got your suspension plans perfect. Good luck. :biggthump
