I have two subs in my trunk and they are making my mirror on my windshield rattle A LOT. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Any suggestions would be a big help, because its too annoying to stand for much longer. Thanks!

Turn the music down, that will fix the problem.

take it out??? your shit must be LOUD if it is rattling. I hit a 145 db on the dash and never had a rattling problem with the mirror rattling. but mine was set up for sound quality though. that might be your problem all bass, no REAL music coming through to drown out the stuff coming from your trunk :)

Are you missing the rubber part between the mirror and windshield? They tend to vanish.

Well, I looked and I can't see or feel any rubber, but I'm not 100% sure where the piece would be located. Can you explain further?

On the rear-view mirror (backside) there should be a piece of rubber that pushes from the windshield to the mirror. There is a little bump on the mirror where you put this part on. If you don't see anything there then thats why it vibrates.

Well I do not see this part. This is a common problem? Is there anything I can do about it? My friend suggested dynamat for my roof, but thats kind of expensive...Also, I sort of pushed the mirror up as far as it can go (don't worry I can still see from it) and it stops rattling...sort of. It takes more to rattle it. But give me some more info on the mirror part. Thanks a million!

Just go to a Nissan service department. Tell them you need to see the schematic of the rear view mirror. This will show the rubber part you are missing. Its only a couple bucks tops.

And how will I put it on? Is it like a circle? Did this happen to you before?

Any/every car I've ever been in with a system (hell even a lot with aftermarket 6x9's in the rear lol) will cause the rearview to vibrate - its a fact of life....
Sorry

I had the same problem with my mirror shaking, i guess that ring idea would work but i just put some Black electrical tape on the part that connects the rod to the mirror itself and it stopped rattiling. im not sure if my discription helps but it worked for me, its not noticable or anything.
