Alternator process? anyone want to describe how to get it out? i checked my fsm like 800 times but i cant seem to figure out how to get it out...its buried....do i have to pull the engine or just remove a bunch of stuff? BTW i have a b14 sr20...thanks for the help
Well I'm not sure if this is the recommended way but this is how I did mine. One thing that I just realized. Do you have aftermarket headers? My process of doing the removal was done with aftermarket headers on the car, so I don't know how you would go about doing it with OEM stuff.

first disconnect the battery, then move the coolant resivior out of the way. next disconnect the plug and the ground cable that are connected to the alternator. next release the tension by loosening the tensionizer. remove the bolt holding the alternator on to the tensioniser. now comes the tricky part, you have to remove a bolt holding the alternator to the block. it is really tuff unless you got small hands and patience. well after that is done then you take the alternator off the belt, then it takes a little work to get it out of the area where the coolant resivior used to be. install is the reverse. well that is how i remember doing my alternator. hope this helps.

has anyone doen this on a b14? is it the same process?
That's pretty much how I did mine, except I removed the radiator hose, and the fitting that bolts to the motor. That way it pulled right out. As soon as I get my tranny fixed I'm replacing mine. Last time I took it out was a false alarm, this time it's really going.
