OK, I'm thinking that giving my throttle body and plate a good cleaning would be a smart little mechanical thing to tackle next. One prob, me being a dumb ass that never took mechanics in school and too poor to go buy the manual untill pay day, I need to know exactly what the hell the two items are and where they are! Any pics some one could post, I did several searches and read all about it but no pics.

Start at your airbox, and follow the piping towards the engine. Most of it will be plastic, but the MAF is metal. When you get to the end of the plastic you'll find the throttle body. It can be identified by the throttle linkage hanging off of it (spring loaded lever thingy to be precise). Take off the intake piping (the plastic stuff) and get to cleaning.
If you want to make the job a PITA and do it right, then take off the throttle body. Do a search on the Technical Corner for my username and "throttle body", there was a big thread on it about a month ago.
EDIT: The throttle plate is inside the throttle body, it is the "door" that limits airflow.
Good luck,

I personally don't think you need to take the throttle body off to clean it. It is somewhat of a hassle and you have to get a new gasket. You can clean it just as well leaving it on. Use carb cleaner and a toothbrush. Scrub the walls and the throttle plate good.

Now that sounds like a good idea to me too. Toothbrush and carb clean. Just remember to remove the vacuum hose under the throttle body before hand and don't forget to put it back when finished otherwise junk will find it's way down it. ;)
