Has anyone done the one way check valve deal with their bov? I just did it today. I went to Lowes and bought a check valve for $5 and threw it on the bov outlet (after some mod's to the check valve) and plugged the intake outlet...the car runs good and it doesn't hesitate or stall. It sounds pretty good, almost like that new blitz bov that just came out that costs like 3 bills. The bov now makes a more of a pffffffffffffffff sound when I drove it around. Is this a smart thing to do? Should I keep it on or bypass it (keep it original)?

Is the air still going back into the intake, or is it going out to the atmoshere? It would be nice to have the stock BOV sound a little more like the other ones that vent to the atmosphere (although I don't know how a stock one sounds yet, I haven't had a chance to hear it and mine isn't hooked up.... yet)

The air is going into the atmosphere..that's why it sounds really good right now. I took out the bypass tube, put the check valve on the bov outlet and plugged up the intake outlet were the bypass tube was once connected.

I don't know about your sound, but my sound is ok. But as I frount mounted it, I changed the pipe going from the bypass valve to the intake pipe (turbo intake). It's no longer a rubber hose, but a plastic hose. It doesn't melt. The hose has little dent in it, so it sounds very good! The more I rev the more the sound is high.

my stock bypass valve is still recirc'd into my own custom inlet pipe. i put the bung for the recirc a few inches from the flow meter, and pointed it towards the compressor (about a 45 deg angle)

it is pretty loud. not as loud as a Blitz, but still pretty loud. DSM guys always ask me what BOV i have, i tell them stock, which leads to puzzled looks because our cars arent turbo'd stock.

speaking of BOVs, anyone heard the NA BOV? with the speaker setup? it is really gay, i heard one the other day, and it blows off like 3 times when you let off the gas and sounds like those little machine gun keychain thingies, you know, the ones with all the buttons for different warfare sounds. it sounds hella fake. they could have at least made it sound real.

turbo 13, I don't think it's a good idea that you vent the air into the atmosphere. I believe it will make you run rich and there may be other problems too [well I'm not an expert or anything, but that's the idea I've gotten from reading many posts here on the forum and in the lists]

Jose...

OK, that Idea really sucked...After I put that check valve on I just ran it around the block and THOUGHT it ran good. I then drove my car to school quickly realized how much this sux ass. The check valve shuts way too quickly ater each shift when air comes out each time from the valve(I guess all theair wasn't coming out), making the car kinda lose throttle rather abruptly. Jeez.... bad idea. Well I'm stock again and it's way better. btw where did you guys get that plastic clear hose to replace the bypass tube?

I got it at "home depot" in the plumbing area. It's 20 feet hose, but you only need a foot! It's made to connect to a pump. I paid it 5$CAN, so in USD it's even cheaper!

Yeah I heard that N/A bov before.....wtf?......It doesn't sound anything like a bov. HaHa. If I hear that thing in somebody's car, I'm ***** run to their car, pop the hood, and rip that thing out and smash it to the ground.....uhhh ok, nevermind. Think I got N/A bov rage. Oh no...Is there somewhere I can get help for this?
