: HELP!!! gauge cluster problems... sentraturbo 05-10-2002, 01:49 AM i just bought a new gauge cluster for my classic... when i turn on the car, all the lights come on... everything from the check engine light, to the gas light, to the oil light... EVERYTHING!!! what do you guys think is causing this??? oh... my car is a 91 classic with NO ABS, but i bought a cluster from a 91 classic WITH ABS... would it still work??? cossieturbo 05-10-2002, 02:11 AM should still work. something has to be plugged in wrong or shorted on the board. Sometimes when the grounding is bad the current will try to ground through the lights in reverse, more or less. Check all screws holding the cluster, these may also be another means of grounding.
