: Spec V track times
Storm88000 05-11-2002, 03:51 AM My friend has an '02 Spec V he got last month, with an AEM CAI. It was his first time ever at the track. He ran a 15.212 @ 90.12mph with a 2.2 60' foot. Damned good time if you ask me!
I was really impressed, that car has sooo much torque for what it is, it feels like a 6.
:)
ser_lover 05-11-2002, 09:29 AM I am impressed. My buddy cant decide between a rsx type s or a spec v. I guess I will be showing him this. Is there any other mods out there or is anybody making some right now?
Stiletto 05-11-2002, 09:47 AM HS just developed some headers fro the spec v.

Well there are a couple CAI's, exhausts can always be custom made, and Hotshot said they have 5 weeks left on the header.

dont forget to show him the difference in the price on the window sticker
focus 05-11-2002, 01:58 PM I don't know long term I think the Acura is a better value. And there will always be more parts available. I like them both it would be a difficult choice.

Yeah, we were all suprised. And it was his very first time at the track too.
ser_lover 05-12-2002, 11:11 PM Yeah. Thats great driving. Is good to see hotshot making some parts. I was afraid that nobody was going to make parts for it. Maybe greddy will try to make an exhaust here soon.
NismoNx2000 05-13-2002, 09:47 AM Thats an impressive time hes got there, especially for his first time at the track. That cold air seems to be doing a world of good for the spec v. Thats a very sweet time for one mod. hmmm....spec v, or rsx type s....theres about an 8 to 10 thousand dollars savings with the spec v, so, he could turbo the car, and still be saving thousands compared to the rsx. :)

Whoa, you sure dude???
I was out car window shopping and I found a white Spec V on saturday with a price of $20k, and when I was out with my friends looking for the TypeS they were stickered at $25k.
MaddMatt 05-13-2002, 10:47 AM Ride in a Spec-V and and RSX-Type S back-to-back, and you'll quickly see wherer that extra $5,000 is. You can hear some of it when you shut the doors.
Good times for the Spec-V. Just wish it didn't fall flat on its ass above 5 grand.

I havent rode in a rsx. Dealer took me around in a spec v but when I went to the type s dealer they wanted to do a credit check and crap first so I said forget this. Which is better?
NismoNx2000 05-15-2002, 09:00 AM True the rsx type s is going for around 25k or more, but the se-r is supposed to be around 18 grand. Either that dealer was marking it up, or it had all the options possible. Thats what im thinkin anyway.
