I'm tryng to figure out the best way to go with the ecu. I was originally going to go with a reprogrammed SR20DE ecu with greedy cam switches. However I can now lay my hands on both a SR20VE and SR16VE ecu. I see the advantages of going either of these two is I don't need the greedy switches to get full use out of the engine.
Inital thoughts where to go with the SR16VE ecu as it has no speed limiter and a higher rev limiter, however, having read through a few threads on here I see there are issues with it running lean.
What are the opinions on he best way to go...?

i would go with the sr16ve ecu. There was one documented source of a car running lean with that ecu that i can remember.

Hi Al,
You can fix the leaness of the SR16VE ecu with a piggyback computer, one I'm looking at retailing in future. I was testing it on the Dyno a couple of days ago. You can see the results here: http://www.digitaltrading.co.uk/sr20ve/dyno.htm
This computer is actually designed for Bio-Ethanol conversions but it cured the Lambda 1.5-2.0 leaness and delivered good torque & power lower down the rev range.
I'm trying it on the SR20VE ecu in January.

from what i understand all ya need is to use to run a sr16ve ECU with an sr20ve engine is turbo silvia or sr16ve Injectors thatll solve any fueling issues as the 20ve runs 333cc capacity injectors where as the 16ve and turbo silvias are running 370cc
might need confirmation on that ***
and id grab Greddy MSS regardless for ease of changing cam switching points, you would probably want to set the change over lower running the standard 20ve Camshafts
Or just get some SR16 cams and its a win win situation :D

the sr16ve has the same injectors as the sr20ve 333cc, if you want to get rid of the leanness, use s14det injectors (370cc) with the sr16ve ecu.
or you can buy a daughter board for the ve ecu's and just tune to your hearts content
