Nayzan 05-11-2002, 01:22 PM I'm in the process of swapping a sr20det in my 95 se-r. Should i change my motor mounts by some new factory one from nissan or from energy ? why ? Can i leave my current motor mounts? blairellis 05-11-2002, 01:42 PM last i heard ES had a factory fire and didnt have any for our cars anymore and with a turbo i wouldnt leave te stock motormounts in place...id get some from JWT or someone else who makes them CowboyDren 05-11-2002, 02:10 PM I don't know anything about a factory fire, but you definitely don't want to leave OEM mounts in place. They use Nissan core shells (core exchange required) and PR's own concoction for damping material. From pictures, it appears that they burn out the stock material and cure their own. PR was supposed to make a set of B15/SR mounts, but they kind of poo-pooed us, so they'll never see a penny of mine, but I digress.
