I need a new clutch soon, probably ACT, and was considering a lightened fly wheel.

Is that *lightened* stock, or lightweight? I'm losing my clutch slowly, and was wondering the same thing.

If you're buying something, get a Fidanza, most places sell them for like $300-$350 shipped...and they have a reversable friction surface...just the Jun "light" is one piece...the "ultra-light" has a reversable friction surface as well(IIRC)...but is probably more expensive...hope this helps..

Any links to find that? Also how do you like your JGY flywheel?

IMHO, my JUN/ZEX Ultralightweight flywheel was my best investment. I couldn't believe how much faster the car revved. And not only that the deceleration is incredible. Someone told me once. You're spending all this money on the motor, why not invest some into the tranny. Especially since you have a clutch job coming up in the future. Worth every penny.

What is reversable friction surface? Cause if it what I think it is it worth it. Saves you from buying a new flywheel or having it resurfaced every 2nd clutch change. So does that mean once you buy the flywheel al you have to do is change the friction surface instrad of buying a new flywheel? Or is this something else.

The findanza will not work on the 98 SE any B14's (from what I have been told). The fidanza is great for a classic. It will bolt up to the b14 but will cause a check engine light because it is missing a sensor. That is why it is cheaper. The JWT/clutchmaster and the JUN use a sensor. JWT/clutchmaster recently switched to the cheaper gear/ring. Caused some problems for people. They should have it fixed soon.

I like my JGY flywheel.....although, I don't think he's doing them anymore...you could e-mail him and find out...:) The car rev-matches a lot easyer...and its not bad to start out....like the 9lb flywheels...you only have to rev to like 1600rpm to start....:D

So basically, the Flywheel will physically work in a B14, but you'll get a check engine light. Anything else?

BTW, what is the price difference between the Fidanza and say the JUN?

98sr20de is right about the Check Engline problem cause i have a 96 200sx Se-r with the Fidanza flywheel and the fidanza don't have the crank position sensor so the check engline light pop on.
But it still do the work, the car Rev alot faster than before. You will have problem launching without spinning.

Lightened flywheels rock...not saying that I have one . Anyways, they are worth it, they extend your engine life by reducing rotating mass, let the engine rev like a mutha, and are just great...buy one!

www.racesearch.com has Fidanza flywheels for $399...plus at the check-out screen if you type in the coupon code FID10, you get like $40 off. And it's $7.95 for ground shipping. so it ends up being $367 shipped. i am thinking of ordering one of these, anyone know how much approx it weighs? Oh, and anyone interested in the B13 stillen kit...Racesearch.com has them for sale for $536 :). Later

Wow! That was really cool of you to post thay coupon. Just to see for myself I went on the site and tried it, it dropped the price by $39.90. If I don't find a flywheel for any cheaper I'll buy it from them.
