I have a 93 SE-R with a factory electronic speedometer in it. I recently change the clutch and in my removal disconnect the speedometer without realizing it was electronic. Now my speedometer isn't working. I remember a small plug that I could find no home for but didn't remember taking it off so I thought it was a stray. Needless to say it went to the speedometer. Now with the engine in and plumbed I can't find the wire or the connection point.
I have two questions.
1) Can anyone tell me where the speedometer wire is located in the engine compartment ?
2) Can anyone tell me where the connection prong is on the engine.
Many thanks
PS if anyone would question - I have a 91, 92, and 93 SE-R and I can assure you my 93 is not a mechanical speedometer.

93/4 uses an electronic sensor instead of mechanical as in the 91/2's.
The electrical speed sensor is in the same exact spot on the tranny as the mechanical one, it's a 2 prong plug.
Give me a few minutes and I'll take a pic for you.

Thanks!
I also need to refind the wire in the engine compartment.

No need for pictures your description of location was enough! I had a 91 engine/trans on the ground check the location and found both wire and prong on the 93. With lead to a more difficult question.
Apparently when I took the trans out I failed to disconnect the speedometer wire in the first place (I know, I learn some of my best lesson the hard way).
The plug and connectors are fine - just separated from the plastic portion of the plug. Now the question is: is the red wire on the firewall side or the radiator side. To put it another way, if I stand on the driver's side of the engine compartment, does the red wire go on the right port of plug or the left port of the plug. I don't mind trial and error but don't want to ruin the sending unit or the plugs putting them in and out of the plastic connector. Do you have a scymatic of the wiring by any chance.
Thanks

This doesn't answer your question?

Thanks doesn't do it!
Your last photo answers the question.
I owe you!
Have you done a Blue Bird swap in a 92 vintage SE-R before I am considering one?

Yes it does - our responses pasted each other.

No, but I've done a few turbo installs on DE B13's.
