Hey guys, I got a new job at a new place that has lots of quality equipment for fabrication, and I wanted to try welding a bar across the rear shock towers,and going down to a "V". I dont want to try a full cage because of my lack of knowledge and experience. What type of steel should I get for the rear bar? What about the plates?

Anyone got any good websites for stitckh welding or adding gussets? I haven't researched chasis building much, and any help wouild b great.
