How far do you go before the needle moves off of the full mark? How many miles have you gone when it's at the 3/4 mark? At the 1/2 Mark? At the 1/4 mark? I went about 80 miles and I am down to the 3/4 mark. Is that about right?

Im about 150 at the half mark.
I can squeeze 273 miles per tank with no 5th gear.
When I had a 5th gear I would squeeze out 290 per tank.
And thats with seeing 7,000 rpms every day.

Maybe you are still reading this Smoothdaddy----but I am thinking of replacing the tranny switches. I am guessing that I might as well do them at the same time as the joints and then throw in my red line fluid, right?

I don't really care for the needle... I pump it full, drive it off, pump again, and calculate the mileage THEN.

ditto on what limited slip said. It's silly to go by the mark, when you can read it off the pump, and then dash, and divide. Usually I fill up at at about 270 miles. That's with 5th gear, but it seems like there's no point for it since I sit in traffic so much.

YES. That sounds like a plan. I still have to do mine. They are leaking bad.:mad:
