Hello everyone,
I would like to say thanks to Art for helping me out a ton and a half!!! The project is underway! I think we got most of the very hard parts out of the way first (Drill and tap the block, and the injectors installed). But now there are a few things in the way. I am front mounting a BB intercooler for now and I have 2.5" diameter piping (7 90' bends and 1 7ft. straight pipe). Does anyone with a B14 have a front mount IC like this and still has the A/C? Also, We are very very close to getting the manifold on, but an A/C Line is in the way. I tried bending it back but she doesnt want to move. I know if I remove the A/C compressor and the lines it will give me a hell of a lot of room to work with. But then I have to buy another belt and I dont know the sizes. So that is my situation. I will state the questions below in a clear form:

1) Does anyone have a pulsar kit on there B14 and still have there A/C?
2) If so, do you have a front mount intercooler?
3) Also, did you have to move the A/C line to put the pulsar manifold on the car?

I am trying to finish the install today so everything can get cleaned up for monday's work week( fathers shop and needs the room for work related projects). Thanks a lot everyone and Have a great mothers day!

I removed the air con from my japspec gtir and you can get the smaller belt for the non a/c uk model.I know it's no use to you today, but at least you know you can get a belt to fit.Removing the a/c rad also lets more air pass through a fmic as it's removing a restriction to the airflow.

Im currently running the Pulsar Turbo parts on my B14. What we had to do to get the manifold on was unbolt the AC compressor. ( 4 long bolts ) and let it kinda dangle off to the left. That will give you enough clearance to mount the manifold. Once the manifold is mounted and all the manifold bolt are tightend then you can put the AC compressor back in place. ( remember to loosen your alternator belt so that the belt won't be holding the compressor in place. ) If you are seriously considering keeping your AC I would recommend relocating your battery to the trunk and running the turbo outlet pipe to the driver side where the battery was once located then back around to the inlet side of the intercooler. Then running the outlet pipe from the intercooler back up through the hole your CAI was located back to the Throttle body. With my car I ran the turbo outletpipe straight down and underneath the car and back up to the intercooler that is front mounted. For a car that isn't very low this is a easy way of running the piping but with my car being pretty low I run into clearance issues when driving up driveways and shiet. Not to bad but remember my car is pretty much dumped. Once I get a free minute I'll post some pics of the piping. * I key thing to remember is that Im running 2.25 piping from the turbo outlet to intercooler. then 2.5 from intercooler to throttle body. With smaller piping it would be a lot easier to find other routes. * Oh yeah and one last thing on that AC line that hangs down by the J-pipe from the turbo, if you plan on keeping that AC I would definetely wrap that with some type of header wrap or heat shielding. On my car there is only about 2 inches of space between the two. ( I dont' have my heatshield on my J-pipe at the moment ) Even with the heatshield I'd still recommend some type of protection. Hope this helps.
