Wrecked my car:(

Some lady'ss car broke down right after a blind spot turn... I turn the corner and see this car stopped in the middle of the road.. I slid into her at about 10-15mph after slamming on my brakes... ( too bad I didn't have big brake kit) .... She was up in the front of the car talking to her friend instead of before the turn signaling the upcoming danger:rolleyes:

I apologize as soon as I step out..

But then I'm met with her saying.. " What the FUCK is your damn problem speeding around the turn."

I get angry :squint:

Me: I wasnt fucking speeding at all, the piece of shit is right around a fucking turn, dont give me that shit"

She shut her fat ass up real quick after that.

I Immediately thought it was my fault because I rearended her car.. maybe it is, her car was fine, so she said i could leave.. After thinking..I go back a minute later and swap insurance.. just so I had it... later that night, after its already too late, I start thinking that maybe it was her fault? I dunno... nothing I can do now.. Called the cops today and they told me what I had figured.. I should have had a report filed on the spot... but thinking I got away with a quick one.. I didnt left.


SOOO I probly won't report it cause I don't want my insurance to go up, I don't think she will do anything about her car, since it was barely noticeable and she said she didnt care...my car drives fine, but needs bumper, fender, headlight brackets, and Corner light and bulb...

Im trying to make some good come out of this... possibly upgrade to the JDM black housing lights and corners while im at it? get a clean, not to ricey aftermarket bumper? i dunno.. pics tommorow... Merry Christmas!



Cliffnotes: I hit a broken down car around a blind spot, happily leave the scene after checking our cars out, then go back and get insurance just in case, realize after its way to late that I sholud have gotten a police report and tried to make a case of it. Now Im broke as hell after Christmas, but want to upgrade to aftermarket parts when the car is fixed.

That sucks Chris. Anytime you rear end someone you are at fault unless they pull out in front of you...

If its just cosmetic damage then it should be easy to fix and you can make it as good as new.

Hmm... So I guess I did get away with one... Shitty situation was handed to me though... I hope she doesn't report it to her insurance.. I don't think she will, she just took my info because I took hers.


I'm thinking Blackhousing lights and corners.... pound out the fender, since its not too bad... and get a 97 bumper or aftermarket... I dont like the 98 one..


On a good note, the 240sx I picked up for 500 bucks might be receiving a KA motor from my buddy in NY.. all I have to do is pay shipping! He has to see if its still at his friends shop...until then it sits in my garage.

you should report it to your insurance just to be on the safe side. you never know, she could try to screw you over. my wife got hit once by no fault of her own, we called the cops and they said they wouldnt come if there was nobody hurt. the lady later tried to call her insurance company and say it was my wifes fault. the good thing was that we had already called our insurance and told them our side of the story. my wife wasnt completley sure she wasnt to blame but once she told me what happend it was clear to me. we ended up putting in a complaint about the cops not showing up and the ladys insurance paid for my wifes auto repairs.

funny thing was that the lady was all pissed cause she had a couple of scratches on her jeep but my wife couldnt even open her driver door.

either way, if there was no acciednt report filed they wouldn't be able to do anything anyway

as long as you report it to your insurance they will investigate. i got hit by some guy in his work truck and i didnt file a report to anyone, he was gonna pay out of his pocket for my repairs. all of a sudden i couldnt find him anymore. about 45 days later i called my insurance, told them what had happend and they went after him. he ended up paying.

Ive fixed way worse than that on my own for not much money. I rearended a Samurai in my 510 a few years ago and it took out the hood, right fender, lower valance, bumper, and the headlight bucket, radiator.
You should be able to get that straightened out fairly easily.

I had one advantage though, my whole car was steel, and could be forced back into shape. Plastic...that can be difficult.

when my 200 hit a deer at 60 the CF hood was ruined
and the radiator, and core support were done, and the headlight brackets and grill were all broke but that was about it

thats why i have a stock hood, and my headlights and grill don't line up :-(
