Well, I'm thinking about a different set of wheels, for several reasons. I have a few questions:

1. Does anyone have some 7-spoke wheels on their classic SE-R that they could post here or email me? The wheels I'm considering are 7-spokers, and I'd like to get an idea of how they'd look.

2. How much would somebody give me for my wheels, no tires? One or two have very minor curb marks, I'm not even sure when they got there, but these could easily be fixed with some silver touch-up paint, something I've been meaning to do myself. Have been on the car for just about a year.

Here's a couple pics:

Keep in mind, this is NOT definite, I'm just exploring options at the moment and might do nothing in the end.
TIA

Anyone? Even any opinions on whether I should get different wheels in the first place? My wife thinks I'm stupid...

Whats wrong with the ones you got? Look good to me. Spend yo cash on go fast stuff!! My opinion.

I have a bunch of go-fast stuff; I guess the only real reasons I'm thinking about it is that these are on the slightly heavy side (17.5 lbs) and are a massive PITA to clean. My other thought was to have them powdercoated a darker silver; the rims I'm considering are a little lighter, gunmetal, and seven easy-to-clean spokes (Motegi MR7, to be specific).

If you are looking for pictures, just head over to TireRack.com. They have an area in the Wheels section that gives you previews of a classic SE-R with a bunch of wheel choices.

TireRack doesn't carry a wheel like I'm looking at. Neither does Discount Tire Direct. Are there other sites where you can paste the wheel on your car?

I would say powdercoat the rims you have now. They look really good on classics. A gunmetal colour would look good. BTW what size of wheel are those ones that you have now, and what size were you thinking of getting? Another question, are the rims for any special purpose, street driven? track?

If you're not racing the classic, and you use mainly for daily driving then don't worry about the weight of your wheels too much. No need in spending money where you don't really need too. But this is just all my opinion.
