Anybody have a carbon hood on you 200sx. Did everthing match up like the latches or did you have to mod. Also where did you guys get it. Thanks aaron

Fiber Images hoods are, by far, the best on the market for our cars. Mine fit very well. The only problem I had was lining up the latch so that it wouldn't get jammed. I have heard horror stories of other manufacturer's hoods cracking or splitting when any pressure is applied to them. Fiber Images hoods are flexible enough not to crack with "normal" pressure applied to them.

Define normal.. I had my fiberimages hood fly up at roughly 40mph(my fault), and smack my windshield. The only thing that's wrong with it is the corners need re-cleared. This is one bad a$$ hood. I love mine.

Man those look good. How much did you guys pay total. and did they ship it or what?

I have heard that VIS sells Carbon Hoods as well though anyone heard of the quality of these? Are they as bad as some the kits they sell that just dont line up?

What are the weight differences on the Carbon vs Stock?

Oh BTW, I got mine for $500 shipped from Sam Yau, he's listed as the East Coast dist. on their website. (not bad considering fiberimages told me it cost them $150 to ship it.)

My friend has had a bad experience with a VIS hood on his '94 Civic. You would think that since they produce more of these Honda hoods that they would have their $hit together, but they are *very* weak! Comparing to a Fiber Images hood, both owners put pressure on the center of the hoods. Guess which one cracked right down the middle? Enough said!

I got a great price on my hood! But I guess with the hookup in price I have to suffer having to wait longer than anybody else. i put my order in back in March and Im still waiting for the hood. Anybody else put in a order after that and recieve their hood? Also does anyone have their phone number?

I would stay FAR away from the VIS hoods... I have the Invader style on my Civic. When I first got it, it was the nicest hood I had seen!! The material was laid really well and the carbon fiber goes all the way to the latch underneath!! But after just a month the support on the bottom started to pull apart and left dimples all over the top of the hood... For the last six months the clear has gotten cloudy and If I want to go show it anywhere I have to compound the hood for an hour and buff and wax it, just to get it to look presentable. If Fiber Images made this style hood I would be all over it!!

I love me FI hood. Fit and finish are great. Bolt right up fits perfect. 13 lbs. lighter than stock.

Yeah I went to the webby an I didnt find a number there. Only a email and I cant use it cause my email is messed up so I am forced to use hotmail. I tried emailing from hotmail and it said it couldnt send. Did you order a hood already?
