I spook with SR20Development and they told me that my problem (my SR20DET always cut off a 3000 rpm) was because am using a MAF from a car with ODBDI (I got one from a G20 91 and NX2000 90) they told i got to use one from a 200 SX SER from 95 to 98 ODBDII. Do you think that's maybe the problem ???

I would say that is a pretty damn good guess! Swap em out and see where that gets you!

What year ECU are you using?

1996 Sentra 1.6. Reprogram by JWT

So wait a minute.. You're using a '96 1.6 (GA16DE) ECU from JWT to control your 2.0 (SR20DET)?!?! I didn't even know that was possible!!!! (Seriously!!!)

Did you get the turbo program for it? I didn't know they made one for the 1.6. I don't think you can run a DET off the 1.6 ECU. This may be your whole problem. Everyone who swaps SR20s in Ga16 cars swaps the entire wiring harness out. You really need to read up on all this stuff before you jump in with both feet. It will cost you lots of time and money to fix things that go wrong.

Too late for what? If your using the wrong type of engine management, the car won't run; period! So let's get this straight, JWT programed a 1.6 ECu and told you to use it (along with the stock 1.6 harness) to control a DET? Wanna make sure everything's right before we start making ASSumptions....

That's right. JWT told him to use the same harness, and they reprogrammed the 1.6 ECU. Believe me, the job hasn't been easy for him. We are in the same club, and he posted news of his swap. Everything was going wrong. The only thing left is this problem. I hope the MAF problem is his last!

We should give AyrtonsennaD the price for the perseverance. This guy was/is very DETermined.

I'm very disapointed with JWT on this. I thought we could rely on their knowledge, but now I'm not so sure.

i thoguht JWT didn't program GA computers. from what i understand the use sr20 ecu's and they fit the GA wiring harness.

yes * can get a ga ecu with turbo programing the reson why? is the se-r wireharness has sum diffrent plugs that don't match sum stuff under the dash on a 1.6l car so they reprogram the 1.6l and i was told both motor's have the same sensors but all the plugs r diffrent so * have to change the plugs on the ga wireharness with the se-r plugs. i on the other hand have a 97 200sx se and i am trying to put a se-r ecu and wireharness this way it plugs right into my det but now i have to figure out what the hell plugs i need under the dash good luck:p

FYI, I have done numerous swaps and used OBD1 MAFS on OBD2 cars, the only difference is the connector to the harness. JWT knows their stuff. I recommend checkin the wires to the MAF. Make sure everything is connected well. JWT has also been programming 1.6 ECU's for 2,0's for a while. JWT is not perfect, but it is rare occaision that the fowl something up. Try and get ahold of another MAF to swap out with. If that deosn't fix it, Idon't think the MAF is the problem. Just my $.02

I was told that JWT get there information from SR20DEvelopment so if SR20Developmenet told me to use one from 200 SX SER they sould know what they talking about ??. They told me that they do that swap a lot of time. I try all kind of MAF connection but none of them work so what you want me to do ?? I gone a buy a MAF from 200 SX SER and will see

He assisted with my 1.6 to 2.0 swap and there is one wire I know for sure that has to be "rigged" to power the ECU.

when i bought my car, the gut put a 1.6 ecu in it, and it ran bad. it will plug in and run, just not good. whats the 2 letters on you ecu, the big letters. Brian

I'm form quebec and i have been reading your post on npclub about advance efi. All i have to tell is this why don't you take your car from them and bring to camotuning or auto laminar or even ADtuning.
