Jesus where did you get that price? Well first what do you consider a "S15 conversion?" The motor sets will run about 4 grand and the labor is pretty intense. The front end conversion is about 2500. :D

i was just wondering out curiosity, what its would cost to do a engine & front end, i didn't think it would be that much.
some people keep telling me it would cost over 20,000CAN ( 14/15000US ), to do it, witch i think is totally out of whack.

so the SR from the s15 dosnt drop right in to the s14 ? dose the stearing shaft have to be moved a bit ? or some thing like that ?

Actually the motor does drop right it. The wiring is completely different and the speed sensor is on the diff. That means that you would need the motor/tranny/driveshaft(will need custom work)/and differential. Oh and from what I hear your speedo will not work correctly. The solution has not been found yet. If you really want the S15 motor then just get it with the S14 tranny and make the swap a lot easier. :D :D

Does theat 15,000 include buying the car? I would save your money and get the S13 red top. For the price you will pay for an S15 motor you could get a red top and a bigger turbo that would put out way more power than a S15.

yeah i was thinking with the car if you find one with a smucked up front end its al just hypothetical talking /thinking

personly if i was doing a up a 240 i would go the 180 root and use more money for the engine upgrades and a wagna wing ;)

You could probaly source a front clip for about 9k though once you have that it's pretty much downhill, the only other thing would be to get the rear axle, since the s15 does use a Helical limited slip as opposed to the s13 an s14's Viscous type differential once you have all of this maybe just maybe you could find a good body shop that could chop off your front end and weld up the s15 front and you need to make the rear axle fit and your all set right hand drive and all. though most cases you need to be carefull since an S15 and S14 engine are pretty much identical, I have heard of shops selling s14 engines w/ the 6 speed tranny attached from a s15 and calling it a s15 engine which is so messed up. The most popular set up in japan is using the s14 5 speed tranny with the s15 engine, since the s14 had the strongest gears from any year silvia and the s15 engine being the strongest engine. Oh well just a thought and hope any of this helps.
Good Luck! :D
