I just read ALLMOTORSENTRA'S signature, from the lightweight battery thread. It looks like this:__________________
"Super natural 14.1@97mph 2.1 60ft. stock internals w/157k. tipping the scale at a whopping 2008lbs If you dont need it to go fast in a straight line it shouldnt be on your car."
I too, like to shed unecessary weight. I roadraced my car recently, and temporarily removed the following: sound deadener, radio and four speakers, rear seatbelts and retractors, A/C [didn't work anyway], cruise actuator and control unit, trunk interior and mats, spare, jack, tools, and gutted the crash bars and seatbelt retractors in an extra set of junkyard doors. The car weighed 2,260 lbs. This was with about an eigth of a tank of fuel. I have since reinstalled the stock [90 lbs. each!] doors, audio system, and cruise, and it is now 2,400 lbs. The car is stock otherwise, and does not have a sunroof. ALLMOTORSENTRA [and others], what did you remove, that I have not? Thanks

Just guessing here - its probably a full interior strip, including replacing the drivers seat with a lighter one. Maybe carbon fiber hood, lexan windows...

Thanks for the links, ALLMOTOR. Nice job. I want to remove the vibration damper thingie, behind the steering rack too. But it looks like you can't get to it without removing the engine, and/or the rack. I heard they were about 10 lbs. My SE-R is a '92, and I haven't found any other vibration dampeners. Do you have the */R underdrive pulley[s]? That would shave some weight. Another thing you might consider, due to the fact you are drag racing, is to swap the SE-R's front brakes, with the regular B13 front brakes, with the smaller rotors and lighter calipers. It also allows you to use 13" wheels if you want. I like the lawnmower battery trick. I might go that route too. Keep shavin the pounds, Cheers!

I'm not sure about this, but I think you can even use the front brakes from a B12 Sentra, with the really wimpy [read that light] solid front disc rotors. Heck, I'd cross drill them too. The same with the rear drums you are smartly installing. This might be a bit off topic, but I want to tell you that I stripped a '78 B210 once, for the drags. I went one step further: I removed the front brakes altogether. Now mind you, I trailered this car to the races. I unbolted the rotors from the hubs, and teed the front feed brakeline coming out of the master, back into the line to the rear brakes. I had no problem stopping the 1645 lb. car with the rear shoes only. I ran at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ, so there was plenty of room to stop!

Well Gene, I say Erik's car yesterday at Knights. He finally put a piece of bug screen over his intake/headlight. I guess bugs don't know the difference. :)
