: Anyone using BB Sending unit for Oil Pressure

I am not sure if this will work, but I am leaning strongly towards no. Has anyone tried to use the BB sending unit with a autometer or similar electrical oil pressure guage. Also does anyone know where I might obtain 1/8 BSPT tees and adapters?

Probably not a good idea. You should have received a sender with the Autometer gauge. I'm pretty sure each gauge is calibrated for a specific sending unit. Whether an Autometer sending unit is different from a Bluebird sending unit, I don't know, but I wouldn't risk it. I would want to be sure of my oil pressure readings!

As for the adapters, call around your local hardware stores.

I want to use the sending unit that came with the autometer Oil guage along with the factory idiot light. That is why I need the tee and adapters, I believe our blocks are 1/8 BSPT, I know for a fact that they are not the 1/8 NPT that the autometer sending unit is. I have been to every auto parts place and almost every hardware store in town, no one carries BSPT. I can only hope that the British performance shop close by carries them, I might be making a special trip tomorrow.
