I see the pics of home made ic piping and kits and such but have never seen a turbo up close. Where does the piping to and from the ic come from and go to? Also, where does the intake (cone filter) attach to? Just some simple questions but I hve no clue.

The piping comes out of the turbocharger (hot, compressed air) and goes to the intercooler (where it is cooled down). It leaves the intercooler, headed for the throttle body.

Your intake/air filter is still in the same place: Attached to the MAF (mass air flow sensor). Only with a turbo, the air coming in goes to the turbocharger, instead of the throttle body.

Think of the turbo as a big compressor stuck in between your MAF and throttle body, and you get the idea. :D

Yes, there are oil and sometimes water lines for the turbo. Under member's rides, you can find my pictures of how I did my intercooler piping there.

Thanks for the help all, the pics are a great help. I guess I have always been a visual learner.
