I'm pretty sure you can't. For one thing, the compressor is on the opposite side. Next, the Silvia manifold is quite a bit broader from the exhaust port flange to it's broadest point, so I think that would make severe clearance issues with the radiator.

Why? Can you get one for a lot cheaper than a GTi-R manifold?

the reason for me asking is cause someone locally has one and he would probably sell it for cheap since he just bought another motor cause he blew his old motor.. Im just wondering what i can salvage off the old motor.. maybe the injectors??

there wont be enough clearance to fit the silvia manifold its simply to large and puts the turbo in a rather awkward position (in relation to the motor and frame)...

how bad is the old silvia motor .....im looking for one to work with so if its repairable (no holes or anything too catatrophic i might be intrested)

Well, to set the record straight a Silvia manifold can be used. Also, the injectors are fine to be used as well. Now with the Sylvia manifold, it is not really recommended for the average "Joe". Here are some pics. Fan spacing in pretty much nill. I am running two 8" fans designed for cooling oil coolers. Cost, $74 each from Jegs. Next the downpipe has to make a "*" under the turbo, over the crossmember and down under the engine, kinda a pain to fab up. If you can't do it yourself, you will end up paying much more in fabrication costs than you would have the GTiR or BB manifold. Her is a pic.

It's not the clearest, but you can get the idea of the complexity involved. Keep in mind, this is on a B12 Sentra, so clearance will be a little different than the B13. If you would like to see some pics of the buildup of the piping, PM me with an E-mail addy.

ummmm, yeah....i am gonna recommend you get a GTiR manifold, and use the sylvia turbo. it should bolt right up.

that looks way to complicated for a small turbo setup. even if its free for the parts.

NismoDriver: I dig; thanks for the pictures. I've also seen an entire Silvia engine fitted in a Bluebird. Many things are possible, but simply not practical. ;)

John (nismodriver), his B13 is an NX though.....he doesnt have the option to run the fans like on yours.....well unless you did away with the condesor and the entire front bumper support.....atleast thats what it looked like the lst time we had our cars next to each other.......maybe we could take a pic of them next to each other for a good comparison, plus I wanna check out the new turbo :-)

RacerX..
as for the condition of the motor I don't know how bad is it all i know is he put the wrong oil filter on and the motor blew all its oil out.. must be really bad if he purchased another motor...

could you get in touch with him to see if he's up for selling the remains of the motor??

.....im mainly intrested in the head, intake mani, and the remains of the block....... I really dont need any of the exhaust/turbo stuff just most of everything else....in the long run it might help you get the prices of what you want down since he's getting some money for a motor.....my biggest concern is the head

PM or email me if you can

Thanks!!
