: Front Air Splitter & Rear Air Diffuser

I'm going to try to make these this weekend. The front spitter, I'm thinking, will hang down about 3-5" off the front bumper cover, and will wrap all the way around from tire-tire. The rear diffuser will cover the gap from the rear bumper cover. Any suggestions on what material would work best? I was looking at a simple roll of roofing sheet metal from Home Depot that runs about 15 bucks for a 10" x 50ft length. Then sanding it to a rough surface, primer it, and paint it black. I'm looking to use pop-rivets unless someone suggest something better, and bracing the back of the front splitter with L-braces. Any thoughts?

I got this off of the SE-R list a while back

Go to a plastic supply house and get a strip of black
polypropoline about 3/16 thick.

You can also get rubber strips from an industrial
supply house like mcmaster-carr. www.mcmaster.com

Recent adavances in sedan racing technology shows that
a to-the-ground type airdam is not the best anymore.
What is better is a belly pan and a splitter with the
belly pan having a foward to back slight slope.

Yeah, I was planning on hanging it over about 3-5 inches from the bottom, then angle about 1-2 inches of it at a 45 degree angle.
