We have been working on Mark's car the last 3 weekends... The exhaust manifold is on, the turbo is on. I helped mark with the 370cc injectors last weekend. We have the block drilled and tapped. New ACT clutch is in. Mark ran the IC piping with intercooler on Sunday, Tonight we're goin to run the oil line and hopefully start her up !

Mark can tell you about the quirks we ran into.... and anything else I missed...

Edit: I can't spell.

I hate cars!!! LOL,JK!

The turbo install went very well. I must give a great thanks to all of my friends that helped out, stopped by(to slow us down of course, lol), and to the people that gave us there support and knowledge.

I thought we would have the car started tonight but we ran into a few problems (what else is new). I dropped off the BOV and a pipe to get it welded together this morning. The guy didnt even touch it all day! I was a little upset but not a big deal. The oil line that louis sent us is great and the other fittings where great also, but it is like a jigsaw puzzle that a genious couldnt figure out. We went to go to Home Depot to get another fitting so we could put the oil line on tonight. Home Depot we were told closes at 12, but the place closed at 11. So there is another big problem. We also lost an exhaust manifold nut so I have to replace that.

Here is a question:
On a T28 turbo setup, What is the exhaust flange that bolts up to the exhaust housing? I heard "word of mouth" that it is the same as a 350 chevy? But that is another battle.

The plan is to run a 7-1/2" pipe off of the flange bolting up to the exhaust housing for now. Hopefully the car isnt to loud for the street but I dont mind if it is. I can not wait for this car to start up and drive out of the garage it has been sitting in for 6 days.

Art is the man with attacking projects. The man has not done most of the things we did for the turbo project before. He has managed to get these installs done and move onto the next ones and still drive a half hour to 45 minutes home after we are at the shop until 1a.m. ! Thanks again Art! Joe has also been here almost every night helping me along with about 4 other friends that dont read this board. If it wasnt for friends this project would probably be still at the injector install!!! Thanks to everyone ! Cant forget the Wife, if it wasnt for her understanding I would be up shits creek! Thanks Meghan!

It should be running tomorrow night and hopefully a digital camera will be available to load up pics for everyone to see.

Art and I are going to install pullies in a few weeks for the next mod on the car. He said it should take 30 minutes since we have dealt with worse shit this past month!!! LOL.

I will have an update for you guys tomorrow. Have a good one!

I know that the ones for the T25 are from a Chevy 454!! I dont know if that helps, should be the same if what Greg says about the same DP fitting up are true.

Get that bitch going Mark, youre gonna love boost!!

Well I started the car up tonight and it sounded great and everything looked good until I backed it out! There was about a quart of oil on the ground. I thought the holes for the water lines didnt need to be blocked up so oil came gushing through the hole just above the return line! Good thing I caught it when I did or no more car for me! I know that 2 holes are not blocked up yet. I am definitly blocking up the one that was leaking oil but the one that sits directly between the oil line and the other open hole in the back seemed to be pretty clean and no leaks. I believe that is the water line hole and that it doesnt need to be blocked? Please someone let me know if both of these holes need to be blocked up or only the one leaking oil in the back? I will keep you updated and have a good one!

And I thought my nickname was "oil leak". Cool man glad to hear the turbo is on the car. The next time you decide to come down to FL and you just happen to bring your car, you'll have to give me a ride in it since I'm not too familiar with turbo sounds anymore ever since I got the Spec V. Hope everything works great for ya!
