Well Im begining to plan out some spring projects for my SE-R. I did a 5 speed swap and im wondering if i should further tweak the swap i have. My main concearn is the clutch, currently im running a stock clutch currently with a lightweight flywheel, I'm toying with the idea of going to a stage one clutch by clutchmasters or act. Im only running bolt ons and the clutch has less than 6k on it, but im not sure about the effect of a lightweight flywheel on a normal clutch, and due to other mistakes made by the shop i dont think it would be such a bad plan to have the reputable mechanic go ahead and put a good clutch in. So i guess my question is this should i go ahead and get a stage one clutch and have some peace of mind knowing the excellent mechanic did the work? Or, the clutch has low miles and the flywheel/clutch combo is fine should i put my money elsewhere?

Put it this way, if it doesn't slip or not allow you to get into gear leave the clutch alone. Unless you plan on doing more than just bolt ons the stock clutch should be fine.

well down the road im doing more than bolt ons but probably not anytime soon, 2008 would be the earliest id consider doing turbo or nitrous. Right now im considering saving up for some tien basics and some light 15x7's
