...Alright.. i origanlly thought my car over heated and blew head gasket but other symptoms have arose.. I drove my car down the road about 5 houses down (2/3 of a mile). drove it home.. let it idle for about 15-20 mins. i first realized that my radi. fans never kicked on....so i need a thermostat.... but when it starts pissing coolant via the over flow, the hose that connects the radi. to the thermostat housing becomes..errr..uhhh....chrunched.. like as if you squeezed it with your hand. Mabye the previous owner never flushed the coolant properly..
I just never ever saw this on any liquid cooled enging and was wondering what you all think this could be... Ive already invested about a grand into getting this damn thing road worthy and i dont wanna be spending all my money on parts i dont need.. thanks.

usually the fans not kicking on isn't a symptom of a bad tstat. its usually a bad temperature sending unit. however your hose imploding on you could be a bad tstat or clog in the system. your water pump must be working as its creating enough vacuum to squeeze your rad hoses. i'd pull your tstat out and throw it in some boiling water to check to see if it actually opens up before buying a new one. course there only like 15-20 bucks. read the fsm there is a step by step diagnose/troubleshooting section thats like 2-3 pages long on the radiator fan system.

I dont think its opening up because when i had it idleing the coolant would get so hot it would be boiling. so id have to shut my car off.. but it stayed at normal operating temp. for liek 15 minutes.. i whent inside to answer the phone and when i went back out side the coolant was boiling.. i also tryed bleeing the coolant before and it didnt have a constant stream like its supposed to. it just kinda trickled out.. so im gonna pull my thermostat out now..
