ok i have my tranny out i heard that * can weld the case to make it stronger right ,well if any body has more info or pics *** my buddy is awsome at welding every thing

Look at the area where the passenger side axle goes into the tranny. There is a cresent shaped hole that you will want to have filled (no harm filling the other holes, too). I actually ended up using a couple tubes of JB Weld to fill the hole.

I had my case welded ($70), but I really think the JB Weld thing is the way to go unless your doing crazy HP & torque. Cheaper and no chance of heat distortion for the axle seal. It should work great!!! Make sure you use a de-greaser 1st so it sticks better. A little secret also. De-stress all of the edges before you do anything. All of those pretty sharp edges in the picture above (thanks "eric96ser"), take a file or 200 grit sand paper and start sanding the edges smooth. Then finish with a 400 grit. Removing sharp edges stops a lot of parts from getting stress cracks as that's where they like to start. Hope this helps a little.
