What do stock B13 SE-R 14" rims weigh each? What are the backspacing? A friend down the street from me owns a '94 Miata with the 7-spoke 10lbs. stockers. She said I could have them if I just get her replacement rims :D. They have a 45mm backspacing.

I think the stock offset is 38mm? I don't know about the weight. 45 offset should do fine, I had a set of 16X7 Konig rims with 45 offset, so a 5.5, 6 or 6.5inch rim should clear every thing. The only issue you might run into is if the wheels don't clear the brake calipers.

Im on the hunt for Miata rims too.
I keep hearing the stock B13s weigh 17lbs on a bathroom scale.

Yeah, she just has the 7-spokes that are hollowed. They are 14" with the same offset and everything. They weigh only 10lbs. each! The BBS ones that weigh like 9.8lbs. are super hard to find, I believe they only came on the "r-edition"? Anyways, she said just get her another set of rims, and I can have those! It'sw either these, or some Bronze Rota Slipstreams.

I was looking to get some miata wheels some time ago but remember hearing that the centerbore is too small for our cars. If that isn't true then let me know so I can start looking agian :)

Thanks,
Matt

The offset of the stock B13 SE-R wheel is 45mm. Not sure of the weight, though. If you get Miata wheels for your car, remember that you'll have to increase the size of the wheel's center bore as it won't fit the SE-R's larger hub.

Anyone know of any other wheels that fit our cars? How about VW? There has to be another source of cheap track wheels besides ours. A couple years ago I found a set of Renault GTA wheels with tires that fit fine for only $125 total.
