i got my new axles installed at Pep Boys today ($200.10) and i get in the car to leave and they STILL have the same rough vibration and they STILL click while turning. i ordered the whole axle cv assembly so im sure its the right parts. could there be ANY other part causing this? i didnt pay $360 for my car to still run like shit. do i need to go ream these guys out and make them fix it?
thanks,
steve

If the CVs click then they are bad. Go back and bitch. If new parts were installed then you should not have a click. I was able to get full rebuilt shafts for $60-$70 each here in FL. Had to do a little hunting though. Does not sound like you got treated right bloke. I hope Pep-Boys is not becoming another Sears Auto Care.
The vibration may be the passenger axle suport bearing. I'm still trying to find the vibration in my car. :(

Anytime you buy replacement axles for $60-$80 each, you get what you pay for. These axles use reground joints which are marginal at best.
Do yourself a favor and buy axles from Marty @ Raxles. His axles consist of brand new joints, Amsoil synthetic grease and urethane boots. They cost around $150 each but are better than OEM.

the clicking was faint this morning so maybe it was only last night. i just need to know what the constant LOUD noise is that sounds like my tire is hopping up and down (comparison) or a rubbing but its bad. and when i go into a curve, it gets louder.
btw, i already bought new axles from them so i cant spend another $300 for axles after i paid $350 total unless they wanna give me a full refund.

I was going to explain my self more...but check to see if it clicks in neutral...if it does..then maybe it isnt your axles...maybe its your springs rubbing. My old car did it and I did the same thing..and still the same noise. It started when I replaced the springs/struts with aftermarket ones.

it doesnt click anymore, only makes a LOUD rubbing/vibration and i dont know whats causing it. i wanna take it back up there and see what they wanna say but dont know if its worth the drive up there.

It could be the wheel bearings, or the spider gear in the tranny. A friend of mine did a clutch for a customer, and 2 days later the spider gear broke. He thought it was the CV joints making noise also.

was it a LOUD vibration? and was it on the passenger side? that where my vibration is coming from. how much do spider gears cost?

If its on the passenger side, make sure you have all 3 bolts in the center support.

YOU DID WHAT? My friend, you when to the wrong place to fix your car. DON'T go there any more. Just try to get your money back. Are you 100% sure that they changed the old parts.
At some point that happened to me. I went to PepBoys and I spended almost $500 to fix my RX-7. When I took my car back the car had the same noises and they told me that they will need another $500 in parts to fix it. I said FUCK them. I took my business elsewhere.
Sometimes these stores clean the old part and sell them like new part. I got this information from people that works on these kind of stores. BE CAREFUL where you take your car to fix it.
