i reciently went to eip tuning today to check out the progress on my car and noticed they had another gti-r motor in their bay. my one friend told me a b13 se-r is going to have this transplant done there.
i am warning you, you will be screwed. they have had my car for over 12 months and black balled me the entire time. they built my motor and i had to give it back to them cause it smoked so bad and the cams weren't shimmed correctly. well guess what i took it back to them in feb 2002 and they just started working on it last week. and i drove it today after they said they fixed it, guess what still smokes and the valve trane is still noisy.
you will get screwed and over charged and wait forever to get a job uncompleted from eip tuning. i am giving you fair warning. trust me i know they put my car on their web page without my permission.

We should move this over to Buyer/Seller ratings.

I can't agree more! MY friend with a '99 Golf bought a turbo kit from them in March 2001 and he still hasn't recieved the whole kit. The partial kit he does have consists of BOV, Oil lines, downpipe, turbo, POS wastegate that malfunctioned and blew up his motor, and manifold. Cost $5000 cdn!! Last summer, they called him and said his kit was finally ready after 6 months (note: they told him originally 7-10 days) and they would be shipping it. HE told them he'd come pick it up on Saturday. After driving 10 hours (from Canada) to EIP, they told him his kit was not ready!! HE snapped of course, so they went searching their warehouse for pieces that they did have. Everything but the BOV and all piping.

After coming home, he decided to install his 4 hour bolt-on Turbo kit. Well, 5 weeks later, he started her up! Nothing fit except the manifold.

Took her for a spin to see if everything was fine, seemed good until he punched it for a few seconds. The thing went like an SOB but after punching it, it didn't feel right. He installed the boost gauge and took her out again and punched it and noticed 15psi, not 6 like the wastegate is set at. Too late!! Three pistons shot!!

Now after spending 6 more months building his current engine, he as finally started putting it back together.

Anyways, Stay as far as you can from EIP!!!!!!!
