JWT and stillen make shitty hot air intakes. For a bit more scratch, you can get a cold air intake which is supposedly worth 2 tenths in the quarter mile. You can get one from Hotshot, Place racing, or AEM if you're rich.

What makes you think that the JWT intake is shitty?

well, it's good for what it is, i mean the quality is great, but look at the power gains vs. a cold air intake. The POP is only good for or 2 hp and that's it

I've been pretty happy with the HKS Super Mega Flow intake
(HKS 1504-SPFN03). It's made for 91-94 Sentra SE-R, but fits on the NX2000. You might be able to get it from Stillen, I've been getting the replaceable foam elements from there. The people from Stillen are pretty helpful too.

I can almost guarentee when youfind out that you are paying waaaay too much for the replacements from Stillen you will hate them. Stillen sucks period. I am glad you like them.

Hmmm...issues? Tell me me what you think I paid for the element, then I'll post what it cost me. I'm not a shill for Stillen, but I've had good experiences with them. That's all I'm saying. Sorry if you have had the opposite.

I just find it odd you're bitching about money when you're importing a front spoiler from Austria, the Erebuni Jetson's wing, and an $80 shift knob (how much HP from that?). :D

Foam elements don't filter as well as the cotton-guaze that K&N use.
Also, they don't last as long either.

The two most popular CAI (cold air intake) around here are AEM (http://www.aempower.com/induction.htm) or Place Racing. (http://www.placeracing.com/) You can't go wrong with either of one.

Edit: Forgot about Hot Shot (http://lion.esosoft.net/hotshot.com/products_intakes.htm)

1st. Erebuni wing. We have a shop so after the TAX ID# is given that spoiler cost me what you can never pay for it unless you have a shop too. Also it pays to live in Brooklyn and/or know the guys at Erebuni.

2) The spoiler: That was $311 shipped to the USA. Go price a new Factory spoiler. My car took a front hit. Why go back to the stock parts?

3)$80.00 shift knob? Read #1. How much HP? Dude, please! Don't try to bully me cause I am not that dude!
Try harder to come at me.

I am speaking of what Stillen has done to us in the past. They sell Metal Master Brakes as Stillen brakes. You know whose brakes those are? Those are Axiss/Repco. They cost me locally $35.00 tops. Stillen sells them shits for $60.00.

Stillen sells JWT programmed ECU's for $695. Jim Wolf sells them on average $505-$595. Depends on when you get them.

[phat edit!  ] I wrote something but forget it.

Look, I just re-read this and I don't wanna start with you.
I just hate Stillen, they suck and will not get any support from me or any one else I know if I can help it.

I am currently using the PR CAI. I plan on buying the AEM CAI later this year.

I'll post Dyno results as soon as I can get them.

Stillen does a lot of that. The only things $tillen makes is some of it's Z-Car items (most of which is pretty good) and some of their headers (Which SUCK BALLS).
Keep in mind, that their salespersons work on commission so it's in their interest to mark up the price as high as they can.

I'm not a shill for Stillen, but I've had good experiences with them. That's all I'm saying...
I have dealt with $tillen in the past. And I too have had good experiences with them also.
HOWEVER I have an advantage that most $tillen customers don't. I live about 30 minutes away, so I'm able to go down there and deal with them, personally.
It's kinda hard for them to run game on you, when you're standing over the salesperson's shoulders. :p

There will be some drilling required. You'll have to cut a hole into your fenderwell. Also, you might have to move your battery around on the battery tray somewhat.

From what I've heard, the AEM CAI comes with pretty good instructions.

PR and HS have pretty good instructions too.

That's what's cool about this forum. Everyone is passionate about their rides and their experiences with them.

My point was if you're going to say something sucks, say why. I'd be more willing to listen and accept your opinion with some proof or facts. Sounds like in some ways, Stillen is just a glorified re-seller. Maybe Stillen will get wind of this and get their act together. in a perfect world...

My intention wasn't to start anything either.

That said...
Here's my humble opinion on K&N. Overpriced, overrated, and the oil-wetted cotton gauze clogs like a paper filter. Plus, if you clean the K&N filter wrong it's messed up. A foam filter with foam filter oil catches just as much dirt without restricting air flow, and is easier to clean, re-oil, and reuse. Plus, I would pay the $13 to replace the element yearly which it probably doesn't need, but I do anyway.

go fast! :)

Ok, here's something from the SE-R mailing list archives:

Listen. Stillen was very Nissan oreintated in the early 90's. As a matter of fact ** the H craze became in fashion, Stillen was the Place to get Nissan parts. But when they started to expand and lose employees I lost interest in Stillen. $13.00 is not bad. It is just they overcharge for a lot of parts. It is a proven fact. just take a poll and see.
