I wanted to know if the two used the same clutch setup? The GTI-R clutch is a different size then the SR20DET out of the Silvia so I was curious if it was the same as the US model?

Not sure, but I'm 98% certain the flywheel is different. I seem to remember hearing about people having to drill the USM flywheel because the bolts are larger.

I'm sure the folks on the turbo forum will know however.

So a spare OS Gikken twin plate kit could work on the US model SR20DE?

I've got a gti-r flywheel and clutch here at the house. Let me look later today and see. The OS Gikken is at the shop and is for a s-13 I never looked at to see if it will fit a fwd de.

The Gti-r clutch is different. The disc and pressure plate resemble the the Rwd version of the Det. Its also noticeably larger as well as the gti-r disc is slightly larger than the fwd flywheel.
