What year cobra MAF should I be purchasing? I think I read 93 once before but I'm not 100% sure. Wil be used for a GTIR motor w/ 50 lb inj. Thanks

why not just buy a 300ZX maf. It will cost you less money. Seach this forum for MAF. You will get a lot of hits. You will see the comment Andreas made about MAF.

I'm a big Cobra MAF sensor hater. The initial cost isn't too much compared to a TTZ MAF sensor, but you have to pay JWT extra money to adapt it to the ECU. Yuck. That's like, two steps away from monkey tuning. ;) It works, but I'd much rather keep it all-Nissan wherever possible.

Are you saying the ECU does not need to be programed to use the TTZ?

You konw, I was thinking about this, and how the Z MAF tops out later than the Cobra MAF. Why is it that the Z guys use the Cobra MAF as an upgrade? Seems very ass backwards to me.

whoa! that link was way too imformative. Too much info...brain hurts....can't...think......must lay...down.

I don't recall anyone (at least on the twin turbo z forum) ever using the cobra maf as an upgrade. Once a Z gets the the point of toping out the maf they will go with the dual pop program. Jwt uses two air filters (dual pop) and uses the maf on only one side of the intake and cuts the program and half. To my knowledge no one has ever topped out this program!

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. My buddy has an older 300ZX turbo and that's what he told me. It never made any sense to me.
